NEUROSCIENCE LEARNING INITIATIVE

Mobilizing efforts on behalf of young children and promoting the wisdom and efficacy of early intervention regarding child development and learning

THE MAGIC YEARS: Birth to 5 Years of Development

Join us for development and learning programs based upon brain development theory.  During this magical time of birth – 5 years, your children are on a journey full of wonder and growth! Brain areas responsible for attention to stimuli from the world around them, sensory and motor development, speech and language development, memory, and emotion/social development undergo tremendous growth.  Brain Development Programs that teach children skills necessary for this growth are state-of-the-art regarding learning and child development.  Brain-based learning addresses early physical development that promotes children’s learning and potential. Neuroscientists and child development specialists at our office develop programs specific to your child’s needs.  We also discuss skills and materials for use at home.  Your children have fun while learning!
  • Infant programs focus upon sensory and motor development and relaxed alertness.  Movement is our first language.  Children move before they speak.  Movement is necessary for language development.
  • Toddler and young children programs focus upon Sensory/Motor skills, Relaxed Alertness, Multisensory Attention, Memory, Speech, Language, and Mood/Social Development.
  • Pre-Literacy programs that help children develop the skills necessary for later academic success.

BRAIN BASED PRE-LITERACY PROGRAM
AGES 3-6 Years

This program is based upon Systems Biology Theory, recognizing the brain is a wonderfully developing system, especially at these early ages. This program addresses early physical skills that prepare a child for literacy and the joy of learning.
Round Some examples of multisensory skills necessary for learning to read and write involve:
  • eye movement
  • sound/phonetic awareness
  • tactile awareness
  • eye-hand motor coordination
  • body control
  • right/left integration
Lego

The children have fun using multisensory materials.  Individual and small group sessions are available.
